It is very important to prepare the surface with the proper products prior to applying FlexKote. Surface must be thoroughly cleaned (pressure washed if possible) and free of all dust, glue, paint residues, grease or any other contaminants that could inhibit proper adhesion. Repair any voids with polymer cement.
With a 10mm, lint free roller, apply a coat of Flexbond over entire area. Let dry until surface is no longer sticky (1 to 4 hours in well ventilated area).
Roll a generous amount of Flexbond in small manageable sections and immediately broadcast (with hands) the FlexKote particles over the Flexbonded area. Continue this in small sections until the entire area is covered with FlexKote particles. Let dry 8 hours.
With a broom, sweep off all excess FlexKote particles that have not bonded to the surface. Save all excess FlexKote particles for your second application.
(Note : A leaf blower can replace the broom. Simply blow all the excess into one corner and pick up with a dust pan. Do not use any machines to suction the FlexKote (e.g Shop vacs, vacuums etc.) as this will break down the particles.
Repeat step 2 and 3 to achieve a true full coverage look.
Seal Surface : The sealer is what give you the durability. It is important to choose the sealer that is conducive to your day to day use of the area.

Regular use (no vehicles on surface)
With a 10 mm, lint free roller, apply 2 to 3 coats of JK3030 sealer over the well swept area.(allow 2 hours between each coat of sealer).

Industrial use:
For a tougher film, we recommend using our WB epoxy coating (2 coats **allowing 24 hours between each coat). Our epoxy is a 2 component A and B mixture. Mix one part A to one part B, mixing regularly, and simply roll on a generous coat working the product into the surface (short haired lint free roller is recommended). Application should be “back and forth” and then “side to side” insure the product is applied evenly. Only mix the quantity needed, once the A and B are mixed the product must be applied within a few hours or the product will harden and be deemed soiled. Apply 2nd coat in the same manner. Note that your 2nd coat will use much less product than the first. The epoxy is white when wet and dries clear.

To achieve a very smooth finish, the surface may be sanded after the 1st coat of sealer has dried. Once the entire area has been lightly sanded, clean the sanding dust with a mop or wet cloth and then apply 1 or 2 more coats of the sealer. It is important to reseal your surface every 2-5 years depending on the use of the area. Product cures in 21 days, please allow full curing prior to dragging heavy object on surface or parking a car.
